Hackman, 71, of Millersville, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Styer and the late Ethel Mae Creamer Miller, and the stepdaughter of the late Raymond Miller. Marian was employed for 30 years with Bell Telephone, starting as a telephone operator and retiring as a drafter in the engineering department. She graduated in 1956 from J. P. McCaskey High School. She enjoyed bingo, trivia and her card and lunch groups with family and friends. She also enjoyed playing blackjack at Hollywood Casino and Atlantic City. She is survived by daughters Renee Hackman Schlotzhauer, wife of Kirk, of Millersville, and Lisa Hackman Freda, wife of Andrew, of Oradell, N.J. She is also survived by a her twin brother, Jere Styer, husband of Pat, of Lititz; brother Harold Styer, husband of Dorothy, of Willow Street; and a sister, June Sterling, of Lancaster. She had five grandchildren: Luke and Eric Schlotzhauer and Drew, Grace and Glenn Freda. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Jacqueline Hackman, Gloria Resch and Yvonne Walton, and brother Robert Styer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010, at The Groffs Family Funeral Home and Cremations Services Inc., 528 W. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, with the Rev. Jo-An Glasse officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
