December 11, 1977 – November 29, 2021 Allen Joseph Butler Jr. lovingly known as “Lil Al”, “Pop”, and “Pop-Pop” was born in Philadelphia, PA to Elizabeth Taylor and Allen Joseph Butler, Sr. He began his education in the Philadelphia school system at G.W. Childs Elementary School and eventually transferred to Faust Jr. High School and Chambersburg Area Senior High School in Chambersburg, PA. Allen was raised in Philadelphia, PA with his mom Liz. To his mom he was her “Pumpkin” and they always loved eating out at Sizzlers. She would always take her “Stank” to dance contests and auditions for back-up dancing. Everyone knew that Allen was a mama’s boy, and they were inseparable. As a child he was very shy but playful and brave. He was a good boy, laid back just like his mother. He enjoyed playing and watching transformers. He loved the latest music, Marvel movies, video games, dancing, going out to eat, and spending time with his family. To his children and grandchildren, he was a caregiver, provider, and a friend. To his brothers, Allen was a great support system. He was known to give good advice, be a great listener, and having their backs. He always stuck to his word and Allen changed his life for the better. To his sisters, he always showed-up, showed-out, and was always there. In the early 2000’s Allen relocated to Lancaster and worked for Stevens Trade College to obtain a one-on-one printing certificate. He then went to R & R Donnelly for 14 years and became a machine operator. Eventually, he made his way to West Rock as a Robot Operator and after 1 month he became a supervisor. In 2009 he married Lenore “Loni” Johnson and together with her children they became one BIG happy blended family. They have a total 6 children and 27 grandchildren. For the last 16 years they loved to watch cartoons and travel overseas together. Loni needed Allen, Allen needed Loni and together they became successful business owners of Our Momma’s Kitchen.
