Sunrise: March 01, 2022 Sunset: March 03, 2022 Two days after coming into this world, Jahlil Liam Thuesday passed away peacefully in his parents' arms at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA. During that fleeting time, he touched so many lives and was loved by so many. Born at 12:19pm at Women’s and Babies Hospital in Lancaster, PA, he was nearly 14 weeks early, weighing in at 2lbs, 12oz and 12.6in long. He was then transported to CHOP the same day he was born. Jahlil was able to grip on his mother’s finger and respond to his father’s touch during his brief stay on earth. He had a head full of really dark hair, long fingers, with the cutest toes, and resembled a lot of his father. Jahlil's short life here on earth was spent with family. The Lord sent one of his angels down from the heavens to carry him home at 9:04pm. He was just too perfect to be in this world. Jahlil joins his great grandparents in heaven along with his cousins Isaiah Picart, Izabella Velazquez, and his nephew Major Wilvin Tirado. He is survived by his parents Gary U. Thuesday Jr. and Luz D. Velazquez, his brothers Gary lll and Gavin Thuesday, his sister Bryana M. Velazquez fiancée to Eric Tirado, paternal grandparents Gary Sr. and Denise Thuesday, maternal grandparents Luz D. Martínez, wife of Rafael Martinez, and Ismael V. Velazquez Sr., husband of Mari Velazquez. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very much. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Groff Family Funeral Home, 528 West Orange Street, Lancaster at 3pm. The family will hold a visitation from 2pm until the time of service.
