Luz Marie "Cookie" Rodriguez

Luz Marie "Cookie" Rodriguez entered into eternal life on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the age of 71. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and lived in “The Bronx, NY” most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Benito Perez and Josefina Gustodio. Luz Marie "Cookie" worked in retail and loved being a stay-at-home mom and grandmother. She was the "IT Mom." She enjoyed going to City Island, traveling, and going to the casinos. She would always win and keep it on the hush-hush. Don't forget the purse she always carried around with all her goodies in it. She loved going to the beach. There she would enjoy soaking in some sun and hoping for a nice tan! She loved doing crossword puzzles, coloring, and playing solitaire. She loved being with her family and enjoyed having a good time. Sunday fundays, cookouts, and house parties where she was able to enjoy her family and dance some salsa were her all-time greatest times. In addition to her brother, Philip Perez who resides in CA, she is survived by her sons, Jason Cruz married to Leilani Cruz and his children, Destiny C. Lynch, Amari Cruz, Jeremiah Cruz, Soraya Cruz, and his grandchildren, Omari and Malia Brown. Her son, Rafael Angel Rodriguez married to Vivian Morales, and their children, Jeanette Rodriguez, Rafael A Rodriguez Jr., Ashley Z. Rodriguez, Xavier A. Rodriguez, Isaiah L. Rodriguez, Midoel Camacho, Gabriel Camacho and their grandchildren, Nova Gabrielle Camacho, Nadia Christine Camacho and Zamai Midoel Camacho. Her son, Jose Antonio Polanco. Her daughter, Kimberly Leslie Polanco married to Kenneth David Morales, and their children, Kenneth Luis Morales, Kaiden David Morales, Kehlani Marie Morales, Alizae Vasquez. Love her man, Carolos P. Roberto Varela. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. Friends are welcome to greet the family for the viewing at 12:30 p.m. Burial services will immediately follow after the ceremony at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Groffs Family Funeral Home to help with funeral services.
